CAPACIDAD INSTALADA PARA LA PRESTACIÓN DE SERVICIOS
En el año 2000, la Fundación cardiovascular de Colombia realizó un ejercicio de Direccionamiento Estratégico a la luz del crecimiento que había experimentado hasta el momento y de la coyuntura del país a final del siglo XX. Tras identificar la necesidad de consolidar la calidad como norma institucional, impulsar el tema de educación, fortalecer la investigación y diversificar sus productos y servicios, la FCV vio nacer el Plan de Desarrollo 2001-2005. gracias a este proceso, la institución cuenta no solo con el Instituto del Corazón Floridablanca, sino también con tres clínicas de alto nivel de complejidad en las ciudades de Santa Marta, Ibagué y Manizales, y con varias unidades Estratégicas Empresariales, Uee.
El FCV.ICF es una de las instituciones del país con más experiencia en trasplante cardíaco pediátrico y el tratamiento de cardiopatías congénitas.
INTALLED CAPACITY FOR THE PROVISION OF HEALTCARE SERVICES
In the year 2000 the Fundación cardiovascular de colombia carried out a Strategic guidance exercise as a response to the growth it had experienced up to then and of the country’s situation at the end of the twentieth century. After identifying the need to consolidate quality as an institutional standard, promote education, strengthen research, and diversify its products and services, the FCV saw the birth of the 2001-2005 Development Plan. As a result of this process, the organization not only has the Floridablanca Heart Institute, but also three high complexity clinics in the cities of Santa Marta, Ibagué, and Manizales and several Strategic business units (SBUs).
The FCV.iCF is one of the country’s institutions with more experience in pediatric heart transplant and the treatment of congenital cardiopathy.

Desde su inauguración en 1997 se constituyó en una fuente de conocimiento, desarrollo y reconocimiento para la FCV. Es una Institución Prestadora de Servicios de Salud, IPS, que cuenta con la más avanzada tecnología, el conocimiento científico adecuado y un equipo humano calificado para brindar soluciones médicas, alivio, calidez y esperanza a sus pacientes. Su labor central consiste en ofrecer servicios y soluciones en el campo de la salud con criterios de calidad, calidez y excelencia, buscando ofrecer la máxima seguridad a sus pacientes.
En el ICF se atienden principalmente patologías de alta complejidad en niños y adultos, en especialidades como: cardiología, cirugía cardiovascular, neurociencias, cuidado crítico y trasplante de corazón, hígado, páncreas y riñón entre otros.

The Institute is a Health Service Provider (HSP) that has the most advanced technology, adequate scientific knowledge, and qualified team necessary to deliver medical solutions, relief, warmth, and hope to his patients. Its main job is to provide services and solutions in the field of health under the criteria of quality, excellence, warmth, and excellence, aiming to provide the highest possible safety to its patients.
The Heart institute of Floridablanca mainly treats high complexity pathologies in children and adults, in specialties including: cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, neuroscience, critical care, and transplants of heart, liver, pancreas, and kidneys among others.

La clínica ofrece un portafolio que incluye diversas especialidades médicas y servicios de alta complejidad, que la posicionan como centro de referencia en Magdalena y en la Costa Caribe colombiana, a saber: cardiología y cirugía cardiovascular de adultos y pediátrica, neurocirugía, medicina interna, ginecología, cirugía plástica, otorrinolaringología, pediatría, gastroenterología, neumología y oftalmología.
The clinic offers a portfolio that includes server medical specialties and high complexity services, positioning it as the reference center in Magdalena and the Colombian Caribbean Coast. Cuenta con servicios de urgencias, hospitalización, ayudas diagnósticas, cirugía, UCI adulto, UCI pediátrica y UCI Neo natal. Además es la única IPS de la región que ofrece el pro grama de trasplante renal. Las especialidades médicas que se atienden, entre otras, son cardiología y cirugía cardiovascular de adultos y de nivel pediátrico, neurología, ortopedia, cirugía plástica, gastroenterología, otorrinolaringología y urología.
It has emergency services, hospitalization, diagnostic aids, surgery, an adult ICU, a pediatric ICU, and a Neonatal ICU. In addition, it is the only HSP in the region that offers a Renal Transplant Program. The medical specialties available include, among others, cardiology and cardiovascular surgery at adult and pediatric levels, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, and urology.

El FCV.iCM Instituto del Corazón de Manizales es una clínica diseñada para dar alcance a las necesidades de la población del Eje Cafetero a propósito de la atención de salud de tercer y cuarto nivel. Por tal motivo, cuenta con un portafolio de servicios encaminado a la prevención, diagnóstico, tratamiento y rehabilitación de pacientes con afecciones cardiovasculares y cuidado crítico, además de prestar servicios de salud en la realización de cirugías de alto nivel de especialización.
The FCV.iCM Heart Institute of Manizales is a clinic designed to cover the third and fourth level healthcare needs of the population of the Coffee Triangle. For this reason, it has a portfolio of services aimed prevent, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate patients with cardiovascular conditions and critical care. In addition, it provides health services by performing surgeries requiring high levels of specialization.
UNIDAD DE TRANSPORTE AÉREO ESPECIAL
Con el fin de mejorar la calidad y oportunidad en la atención de los pacientes que deben ser remitidos desde diferentes lugares a la FCV, en 2010 se decidió disponer de equipos de transporte medicalizados. Esta UEE se especializa, entonces, en la prestación de servicios de salud para el traslado de pacientes nacionales e internacionales y de órganos para trasplantes dentro del territorio nacional.
SPECIAL AIR TRANSPORTATION UNIT
In order to improve the quality and timeliness of the care given to patients who need to be transported from different locations to the FCV, in 2010 the organization decided to acquire access to specialized medical air transportation equipment. This SBU focuses on providing transportation services for national and international patients, as well as for organs required for transplants inside Colombia.
