Bioengineering is a Strategic Business Unit of Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia - FCV, which contributes to the scientific and technological development in health, through the production of knowledge, innovation, transfer and appropriation of technologies, aimed at improving the living conditions of the Colombian population. It was born in 2003 and is composed of an interdisciplinary team, dedicated to the research of medical technologies, in lines such as: critical care, signal acquisition, monitoring of vital signs, biomedical instrumentation, electrophysiology, clinical engineering, metrology, validation, telediagnosis, telemetry, automation and signal and image processing. The designs and products are made to positively impact patient care and access to health services, with special emphasis on remote geographical areas. We work with criteria of quality, innovation, functionality and interactivity.
