Endovascular Neurosurgery is the area of Neuroscience that enables the management of Central Nervous System vascular diseases, such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, arteriovenous fistulas, intracranial, carotid and vertebral stenosis. It also allows the performance of vascular rescue by intra-arterial thrombolysis and thrombectomy in patients that suffer from acute ischemic stroke. Likewise, it includes adjuvant procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of neoplastic (tumors) brain, spinal cord and facial cranium diseases, as well as complex craniofacial arteriovenous malformations.
