We are the International Hospital of Colombia (HIC), a mega health project developed by the Cardiovascular Foundation of Colombia (FCV), which was designed with the aim of generating greater coverage in the needs of health services in the Santander region of Colombia, with a national and international projection.

The HIC is considered the most important medical complex in Santander and northeastern Colombia, one of the most recognized in the country and one of the most prominent in Latin America. It is in the Level Three category of High Complexity and in Level Four of Medical Care. At the national level, it ranks third and sixth in Latin America, according to the ranking of the América Economía 2019 magazine, cataloged as the medical complex with one of the best models of patient experience, the provision of highly complex services, modern facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, a highly qualified medical team - conformed by specialized professionals in all fields of medicine with a great sense of humanization, committed to achieving the best care experience for each patient and complying with the most rigorous standards of quality and safety worldwide.

The HIC is conformed by the already existing Cardiovascular Institute (ICV) which was the first clinic of the institution, which has been in operation since 1997 and the first institution in Colombia accredited as a hospital program by the International Joint Commission with the "Gold Seal of Approval ® "since 2009, which guarantees the compliance of our institution with international quality standards in medical care for patient care and the administration of health services. They are also part of the comprehensive offer of the HIC, the new Specialized Institutes: the Cancer Institute, the Neurological Institute, the Institute for the Care of Women, and the Orthopedics and Rheumatology Institute. These are accompanied by seven Specialized Centers: Pediatrics; Nephrology and Urology, Respiratory Health Care, Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Clinic for Pain Relief and Palliative Care, Welfare and Integrative Medicine and Digestive Health Care. In addition, there are six Supporting Units: Emergencies and Trauma, Surgery, Hospitalization, Diagnostic Support, External Consultation and Therapeutic Support.
